Farewell Bob Matthews

With considerable sadness we wish to inform all members that Bob Matthews passed away early Monday morning.

Bob was a long time member of the Cottesloe Tennis Club and played with a great many of us over the years. He will be sorely missed by us all.

Bob’s funeral will be held at Karrakatta Cemetery this Friday 16th March at 2pm and there has been a request for no flowers. Those wishing to attend should meet prior to this time at the main entrance. There will be a gathering at the Clubhouse afterwards.

Tournament correction to last e-Update

Please note that there is a delay in preparing the Tournament Draw and thus information will NOT be available on Thursday afternoon as advertised in the last email message.

These are the anticipated release times for the two tournaments: Men’s Singles Draw for Saturday May 10th will be posted at the Clubhouse on Friday May 9th 5:00pm.

The Men’s and Women’s Round Robin Draw for Sunday May 11th will be posted on Saturday May 10th by 5:00pm.

All players on both days need to be at the Club at 12:15pm for a 12:30pm sharp match start.

The Night-of-Nights Reminder for 17th May from 7pm

Don’t forget to grab your tickets and fling on your bling for the official Awards Night of the Cottesloe Tennis Club Tournament and Round Robins events, plus a few fun prizes you won’t expect.

An outstanding Master of Ceremonies will preside over the evening which includes a 3-course meal for just $30. The bar will be open for purchases to accompany your dinner.

If you couldn’t make the Oscars this year then come join the Stars of CTC at our own annual Night-of-Nights!

Tickets available from social committee members or just ask down at the Club – please confirm your attendance ASAP.
