After a wonderful visit to Dalkeith last year it is our turn to charm the players from Dalkeith on Friday 14th December from 4.30pm.

12 Women and 12 Men are required to complete the host team and a dinner will be provided.

Dalkeith have set the bar very high after their excellent welcome to us last year so lets make this one to remember.

On Sunday October 21st a Day Tour is planned to enjoy the Chittering Valley, Bindoon and Lou Holm’s “Whim Creek” property in West Bullsbrook.

Departs Cottesloe Tennis Club at 8.30am and returns at 4.30pm on Sunday 21st October. The route will include Old Guildford Town, then The Swan Valley and on to Bullsbrook and then, the jewel in the crown Chittering Valley to Bindoon.

Morning tea will take place at the Chittering Valley winery with a chance to sip their top drop and snare a bottle for lunch.

There will be a “walk on the wild side” to assess the local flora.

Bindoon’s delightful park on the banks of the Brockman River is the perfect setting to break out the superb hamper lunch prepared by tour host Gitte Eyres. Fruit Juice is included but feel free to bring wines etc. The popular local bakery is a short distance away.

Afternoon tea will be under the trees at Lou Holm’s “Whim Creek” property. Gitte is creating a Danish treat from local strawberries.

Mid-week Melbourne Cup luncheon is to be held on the 6th November 2007, this will happen even if the Melbourne Cup is canceled this year. The cost will be $15.00 per person, and the bar will be open for all to buy drinks. Contact mid-week captain/vice-captains for details.

Opening Day will be Saturday 13th October. Social play will commence from 1pm and the official opening of the 07-08 season at 3.30pm.

Weekend and Midweek Members are all welcomed at opening day. Please bring a plate for the tea break.

The Opening Day Dinner on the evening of Saturday 13th October is selling fast. Piano, chef cooked dinner and a great crowd! Only a few tickets remain for this very popular event.
