Casino Night at the Club – 11 June 2010

On Friday 11th June the Cottesloe Tennis Clubhouse will be turned into “Las Vegas on the Indian Ocean” hosting an evening of fine food and some fun (and legal) gambling with a huge roulette wheel, two blackjack tables and excellent musical entertainment to complement the night.

This is Judi and Rachel’s final function after several years of organising the social events for the Club and it would be very much appreciated if you could all consider giving them a fond farewell by attending this event!

The fun starts from 7pm and tickets are just $50- Excellent value for a 3 course meal, casino experience, great music and awesome company! Beats a trip to Vegas ! Who will be the mystery Elvis on the night? Sign up soon

Cottesloe Wins Men’s and Women’s State Grade Finals

For the first time in over ten years a single Club took out both of the State Grade finals, the effort from the Cottesloe Tennis Club teams, the pennants committee, groundsman and the whole Club to help make this happen was absolutely fantastic.

The Club hosted it’s largest crowd in living memory for the State Grade Grand Final double header and although the men’s team had to finish their final on the following day due to bad light there was no disappointment in the final result.

The women played City Beach in a very tight encounter with many of the games going to the full three sets. The women performed particularly well in their doubles ties where City Beach have been very strong all year.

The men played wonderful tennis and given the length of the games played had to finish the final on the Sunday morning.

Well done to all and thanks to the whole Club for the wonderful support given for the finals.

Mixed Social Tennis for 15-20 year olds

We are holding a social tennis evening for all members and friends aged between 15 and 20 years this Friday, 19 February 2010.

It starts at 5.00pm and will be followed by drinks and a BBQ.

Players and non-players all welcome, the standard is strictly social. We expect to finish up around 8.00pm.

The Club will fund the cost of the evening.

This was filmed and directed by 12 year old Kate Campbell who loves Macs! and happens to also be the daughter of Junior Director Alan Campbell.

The stars include many of our active Juniors and those who support their activities week-in and week-out!

Tennis, barbecue (bring you own everything) and dancing (bring your own dance music too).

You are welcome to bring friends and the bar will be open..

Womens State League Blockbuster Day 7th Nov !

The State League CTC Block Buster event is now organized for the 7th of Nov featuring the Women’s State League in their first home game from 1pm.

Our new stars Alicia & Bojana have confirmed they are available and with a little bit of luck they both might make the team with Vanya!

Main sponsor Sullivan’s Hotel (see new logo on left of the website) will be represented and Peter Muir has offered his services behind the bar from 2.30pm plus Pod will be working his magic on the Barbie.

We have 3 excellent tennis give-a-ways donated by Sports Fever for juniors who come down to watch the games.

If anyone can help in any way please contact someone on the Pennant Committee which includes: Jo Keanny, Louise Thomas, Tim Wood, Glenn Smith, Murray Freiburg, Pierre Murat and Coordinator George Holmes
