Sal's Pasta Deli feels like a corner of Italy, and there's a good reason why. Founder and chef Paul "Sal" Salmeri spent eight years cooking throughout Italy before doing a stint at London's The River Cafe before returning to Perth in 2014. He opened his namesake deli, Sal's, in 2018, continuing his devotion to fresh pasta and Italian fare.
The pasta is made fresh each morning using flour that comes from a third-generation family mill in the foothills of Piedmont, Italy. In the front cabinet you might see baguettes filled with pesto, tomato and mozzarella, sliced deli meats or crunchy porchetta.
